Hi, I’m Dewey Neild

One of my first memories of waterfalls was from family trips to the Finger Lakes from my home in rural Oswego, NY. I renewed my love of nature after moving to Ithaca, where I have been surrounded by the many Waterfall State Parks.

After Hannibal High, JCC, Oswego State, I have produced commercial, wedding, portrait, and illustrative photography in Ithaca since 1979.

Photographic services have been provided to Us, People, More magazines, Ithaca Journal, Ithaca Times newspapers, Cornell University, and Ithaca College publications, and 50 cover photos of the Ithaca Journal Weekend section. Permanent displays of photography are in several banks, homes, and many area institutions.

I have served my community with memberships in the Lions and Rotary Clubs; have been an active member of the artistic community. As a professional photographer for over four decades, I have incorporated the beauty of our local scenery and waterfalls into my wedding, portrait, and studio work.

Thanks to the inspiration and encouragement from Barney, Peter & Bob Schug of Cayuga Press of Ithaca, the first issue was the Waterfall Calendar for 2004. For this newly designed 23rd anniversary calendar, I am inspired by the new designs we have for you this year.
