My first glimpse of a waterfall was a striking B&W 6" x 20" photo of Yosemite Falls. My Grandfather had it nicely framed and prominently displayed on his wall. I love discovering waterfalls, gorges, parks and all the other attractions in this great state of New York. I have thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and tranquil life in the Finger Lakes ever since moving to Ithaca in 1972. I graduated from Hannibal High School, and received an A.A.S. from Jefferson Community College, and completed additional course work at Oswego State, and TC-3 in Dryden. Since 1979, I have worked in the areas of commercial, wedding, portrait and illustrative photography. Currently I am an active member in my community, past president of both the Ithaca Lions and Ithaca Sunrise Rotary Clubs, and a member of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce.

I have been a professional photographer for over 3 decades and I've been recording waterfall experiences in between my wedding and portrait studio work. My portrait, wedding and scenic art photo business has continued to grow with the help of old and new clients -Cornell University, Ithaca College, Toyota, People and Time magazines, Exxon Mobil, local banks and many friends and acquaintances in the Finger Lakes area.

In 2004, I self-published my first Finger Lakes Waterfall Calendar. This is the seventh in a row. Thanks to you and the many others who have purchased the "Waterfalls of the Finger Lakes Calendar". This calendar and its photographs have received several awards since its inception in 2004. I thank Barney and Peter Schug of Cayuga Press for the initial idea, and their entire team for the printing, Elizabeth Einstein for her editing, and Michael Rider for the design.
